Out of respect for the local tradition, Casa Thymus is built with old materials and working techniques, made by local craftsmen - hand-cut beams, earth walls, shingle roof, carved stone walls.
Out of respect for your comfort, the outdoor swimming pool and modern facilities harmoniously complete the experience of your stay.
Comfortable access
The complex is located in the Vrancea Mountains Nature Reserve.
From Bucharest, take the highway to Focșani-Tișița, and then continue on DN2L, a picturesque road that crosses the wine-growing area of Vrancea.
The location is only 3 and a half hours from Bucharest and Iași, and 2 hours from Bacău, Brașov, Buzău, Brăila and Galați. The road is pleasant, without heavy traffic, on paved roads, in very good condition.
Transfer from/to Bucharest airport can be arranged for a fee.

Gastronomy
We cook with taste for all tastes, with fresh products and seasonal ingredients: traditional soups, house steak, ram on a spit, pies with forest mushrooms or cheese, pizza made by us on the spot and baked in a wood-fired oven, donuts, cakes and homemade cakes, fir bud syrup matured in honey, plum jam from the garden without sugar, wild fruit and bitter cherry jams.

How about a game of horseback riding? Maybe a trip with a traditional cart or sleigh, drawn by horses (depending on the season and weather, of course), a fishing trip on mountain rivers or a visit to the sheepfold?
Soveja is famous for its pure air, fabulous nature and virgin trails. Choose a thematic hike - picking medicinal plants, mushrooms, berries, bitter cherries - or a tour to observe or photograph the flora and fauna.
The longest hike on a marked trail is the hike to Zboina Neagră (5h). And the best mountain biking route is on the spectacular road between Soveja and Lepșa.
